Jacob Meldgaard will join NORDEN's Executive Management

Dampskibsselskabet ”NORDEN” A/S (hereafter called NORDEN) has as of 1 April
2008 decided to strengthen the organisation and management structures in line
with the Company's growth in recent years. 

In this connection, Jacob Meldgaard is appointed to Executive Vice President
and will join the newly established Executive Management team together with the
two members of NORDEN's Board of Management - President and CEO Carsten
Mortensen and Executive Vice President and CFO Ivar Hansson Myklebust. 

Jacob Meldgaard is 39 years old. He joined NORDEN in 1997, was appointed
General Manager in 2002 and Senior Vice President as well as head of the Dry
Cargo Department in 2004. Jacob Meldgaard was previously employed with J.
Lauritzen and A. P. Møller-Mærsk, where he received his shipping training. In
addition, he has a bachelor of commerce degree in international trade and has
received management training at INSEAD and Wharton Business School.
