MeritaNordbanken has reached more than 91 % of the shares in Christiania Bank og Kreditkasse Shareholders representing more than 81 per cent of the total number of shares in Christiania Bank og Kreditkasse ASA ("CBK") have accepted MeritaNordbanken Plc´s offer to acquire all shares in CBK. Including the shares already owned by MeritaNordbanken, representing 9.99 per cent of the total number of shares, MeritaNordbanken is thereby in control of more than 91 per cent of the total number of shares in CBK. The offer period expires today at 17.00 hours Oslo time and will not be prolonged. MeritaNordbanken has filed an application for concession from the Norwegian Ministry of Finance.
