Nordic Capital announces acquisition of Point International AS - leading provider of electronic payment solutions in the Nordic and Baltic region Nordic Capital has acquired Point International AS, operating in the Nordic and Baltic regions. With a strong market position and revenues of approximately NOK 300 million, Point International AS is the leading provider of electronic payment solutions in the Nordic and Baltic markets. Nordic Capital Fund V has today signed an agreement to acquire 90 percent of Point International AS. The company's CEO, Michael Sundin, will continue to lead the company going forward. The founders and management will retain 10 percent. Point provides electronic payment terminals and related software and services to customers such as retail chains, banks and restaurants. Point has a strong position in a growing market. Global financial transaction volume is growing by approximately 20 percent annually. Nordic Capital's ownership will provide the company with a solid financial base and complementary industrial know-how, creating a stable platform for future growth. The transaction is expected to close in late 2004. Completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
