NIB finances the Borssele 1 & 2 wind farm in the Netherlands

Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed an 8-year loan agreement with Denmark’s largest energy group Ørsted A/S for the financing of its investment in the Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm, about 22 kilometres from the coast of the Dutch province of Zeeland in the Netherlands.The EUR 175 million loan is eligible to be funded by NIB Environmental Bond proceeds. The loan will co-finance Ørsted’s investment in the wind farm, which consists of 94 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 8 MW.
