NIB finances new fibre optic broadband investments in Norway
The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed a 10-year loan agreement with Eidsiva Energi AS to further expand the digital infrastructure in Innlandet County, and municipalities in the region, during 2025-2029.The NOK 500 million (EUR 42.5 million) loan will finance investments to increase the number of active fibre optic broadband network clients from approximately 100,000 to 120,000 in Innlandet County by 2029.
The project is an extension of the company’s previous fibre investment programmes, co-financed by NIB, for the rollout of fast fibre optic broadband networks for 2017–2020, 2020-
