NIB finances large-scale wind farm in Latvia

The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed a 16-year loan with Ltd. WPR2 for the construction and operation of a 112 MW wind farm in Latvia. The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed a 9-year loan to co-finance Danish BioCirc Group’s carbon dioxide liquefication and transport investments at its biogas facilities in Denmark.   The EUR 27.5 million (DKK 205 million) loan is supported by the InvestEU programme and is eligible under NIB’s InvestEU Framework Operation on Clean Energy Transition. The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed two 15-year loan agreements with global steel maker SSAB to co-finance the construction of a fossil-free steel mill in Luleå, Sweden. Lithuania to get new electric trains under NIB-EIB-LTG Link deal

The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and LTG Link have signed a financing agreement for the purchase of electric and battery-powered trains.NIB and the EIB will provide loans of EUR 100 million each to finance nine electric and six battery trains, which will replace about one-third of the passenger train fleet.
