More than 3,000 meters of drill cores which is about half of the planned program, have now been retrieved at Engebø.

The drill cores are studied and sampled by geologists. Samples are sent to laboratories for chemical and mineralogical testing to determine rutile grade and to assess garnet quantity and other rock characteristics.

Exploration Manager Mona Schanche comments: “We are pleased that the drilling is progressing well. The drilling will provide valuable information for the further planning of the Engebø rutile project.”

Nordic Rutile AS, a subsidiary of Nordic Mining, has the rights to the Engebø deposit and has been granted permits for the project. The drilling gives the basis for updating the mineral resource estimates and classifications, in particular for the open pit part of the deposit, as part of the upcoming pre-feasibility study. The Finnish company Oy Kati Ab is responsible for carrying out the drilling. Qualified Person, Mr. Adam Wheeler is assigned to carry out the resource estimations. The revised mineral resource data is expected to be finalised in Q3 2016.
