Engebø rutile project - Agreement on contribution to infrastructure

Naustdal and Askvoll municipalities are considering the proposal for industrial area plan for rutile production in Engebøfjellet. In connection with this, Nordic Mining and Naustdal municipality have negotiated an agreement on contribution to an upgrading of the country road 611 between Engebø and the center of Naustdal.  According to the agreement, Nordic Mining and Sogn og Fjordane county government will contribute NOK 95 million for upgrading of the road.

 

On 31 March 2011, the technical committee in Naustdal municipality resolved to put out the negotiated agreement on public hearing. The hearing period closes 1 May 2011. After closing of the hearing period, the agreement will be considered by the Naustdal municipality council.

 

According to regulations, the municipality council's consideration of the industrial area plan shall be done before the abovementioned agreement is considered.
