First drill cores retrieved from Engebø
Nordic Mining’s subsidiary Nordic Rutile AS has started the drilling program at the Engebø rutile deposit. The first drill cores were retrieved yesterday. The drilling is expected to continue for approximately 8 weeks.
The Finnish company Oy Kati Ab has started the drilling operation at Engebø with two mobile drilling rigs. The drill cores will be subject to various analyses to determine rutile grade, by-product garnet quality, and other mineral characteristics. The subsequent resource estimation and reclassification are expected to be completed in Q3 2016.
Exploration Manager Mona Schanche comments: “The drilling program will provide valuable geological information for the further planning of the Engebø project, and we are pleased that the drilling now has commenced.”
