Mr. Olav Auro has been appointed to the position as General Manager in Gudvangen Stein AS, a subsidiary in Nordic Mining group. Mr. Auro comes from the positon as R&D Manager for Daletec AS, and he has technical education. Mr. Auro has broad experience in product development and industrial sales from companies like Dale AS and Ciba Special Chemicals, Norway. Mr. Auro will start in his position as General Manager in Gudvangen Stein in August.

 

Gudvangen Stein is producing anorthosite from its own mine and with a significant resource base in Gudvangen in Aurland municipality in Norway. Anorthosite is currently sold to customers producing mineral based insulation products (rockwool) and for use as asphalt aggregates with the purpose to make road surface brighter. Anothosite is also used in various decoration applications.

 

In Nordic Mining's opinion there is significant potential in further development of Gudvangen Stein by increasing product development  and marketing of anorthosite. Mr. Olav Auro will add valuable competence and experience in this field.
