JAlbum raises capital from Nordic Venture Partners

Nordic Venture Partners has invested in JAlbum. The financing will be used primarily to support the company in enhancing its software and website to support the growing JAlbum community. JAlbum has grown rapidly to become one of the most widely used and loved open-source photo and video album software projects in the world.

JAlbum is a website, community and free software that produces photo and video albums. JAlbum allows you to generate virtually any imaginable album look and works and runs anywhere. JAlbum is written in the Java programming language so it runs not only on Windows, but also on Macintosh and Unix systems like Linux and others. JAlbum also enables peer to peer sharing of albums directly from a local hard disk or publishing on the Internet. The goal of JAlbum is to provide the best photo and video album freeware, site and community support empowering users with total control over their presentation, publishing and sharing of their images’ and videos’.
