Nordlo recruits ESG star from cloud giant: ‘Favours our continued growth in several ways’
Nordlo is recruiting Evelina Pallin as its new Head of Sustainability to further develop the group's sustainability work. Evelina joins Nordlo from her position as Sustainability Manager at Sinch and has previously worked as a sustainability consultant at PWC.
"Evelina has exactly the right profile and experience to take our sustainability work to the next level. This is an important recruitment as it is strategically an important part of Nordlo's continued growth journey, both in terms of gaining even better expertise in the market and being an attractive employer, says Fredrik Almén", CEO of Nordlo.
Evelina Pallin, Head of Sustainability Nordlo, and Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo.
Evelina has worked for three years as a sustainability consultant at PWC and three years at the cloud services company Sinch, where she played a central role in developing the sustainability function. In her new position at Nordlo, starting on 1 October, she will build on the group's already established sustainability strategy and focus on implementing concrete measures to achieve set goals.
– Like Sinch, Nordlo is an acquisition-driven group. Nordlo has been working strategically with sustainability for several years, and instead of building the function from scratch, I'll be focusing on realising the move towards set targets and further developing sustainability work for the entire group, says Evelina Pallin, the new Head of Sustainability at Nordlo.
A key part of Evelina's new role will be to implement the new EU directive on sustainability reporting, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Nordlo has also committed to setting climate targets under the Science Based Targets Initiative.
– Both of these initiatives show that Nordlo is integrating sustainability work into its overall business strategy. I'm looking forward to further developing objectives, strategies and operational sustainability work,’ says Evelina Pallin.
The recruitment of Evelina Pallin is part of Nordlo's group-wide sustainability work that spans both Sweden and Norway, and all business areas.
– We are seeing increased sustainability requirements from our customers, as well as increased requirements in many procurements we participate in. So while we're a reliable partner from a sustainability perspective, it's also a clear competitive advantage that drives new business opportunities, says Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo.
