Stavanger, 23 December 2013 – The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has approved a temporary production solution at the Siri platform.

According to DONG Energy which is the operator of the Siri Fairway fields, this means that production at the Nini, Nini East and Cecilie fields may resume in the first quarter of 2014.

The temporary solution involves transfer of stabilised crude directly to tanker. Certain operating restrictions have been imposed, including de-manning of all personnel when significant wave heights at the platform exceed six meters. Consequently, output from the fields will be difficult to predict, especially in the harsh winter months.
