Norse Energy Appoints Brian Perkins as Executive Vice President of Operations

Norse Energy Corp. ASA (“NEC” ticker Oslo Stock Exchange, Norway; “NSEEY” ticker U.S. OTC) is pleased to announce that Brian Perkins has accepted the position of Executive Vice President of Operations.  Brian will be in charge of all production, drilling and pipeline operations.  He will report to the CEO, Mark Dice.

Mr. Perkins comes to Norse Energy with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry at companies including Amoco, BHP and BP. He has held senior positions in the US and abroad in operations, engineering, and safety management.  His extensive experience provides him with the sound understanding of the business that is required for building and maintaining safe and efficient operations.

Norse Energy has total contingent resources of ~4 TCF (~713 MMBOE) at the end of 2009. The Company has a significant land position of 180,000 net acres in New York State. The Company also owns a natural gas marketing business and operates pipeline systems in New York and Pennsylvania for gathering and transmission of natural gas.
