North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) announced today that Director of Ambulatory Services, Matthew Verdone, DO, and Regional Director, Rafael Cartagena will be featured speakers at Becker’s ASC Review 22ndAnnual Meeting – The Business and Operations of ASCs. The event will be held October 22-22, 2015 at the Swissôtel in Chicago, Illinois. NAPA will also support the event as an exhibitor at booth #16.
Dr. Verdone will be presenting on the topic “From Inpatient to Outpatient: How ASCs Utilize Cutting Edge Strategies to Overcome their Challenges” on October 22 at 1:40 pm. His presentation will concentrate on the top post-PPACA challenges in ambulatory surgery centers and will explore recent trends in the translocation of cases to ASCs, physician staffing models and unique anesthesia management issues.
Dr. Cartagena will be a panelist during the session “The Business of Anesthesia” on October 23 at 12:10pm. The panel will answer questions focused on growth in the anesthesia landscape and within anesthesia management companies. In addition, the discussion will concentrate on anesthesia company’s relationships with anesthesiologists and ASCs, particularly how they can positively impact the productivity and profitability of an ASC.
