NAPA’s Clavio Ascari, MD Named as Richmond Magazine Top Doctor for Third Consecutive Year
North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) announced today that leading anesthesiologist Clavio Ascari, MD was selected by Richmond Magazine as a Top Doctor in the anesthesiology category for the third consecutive year. Richmond Magazine featured Top Doctors in its April 2016 issue. The local, peer- nominated by award is dedicated to honoring professional healthcare experts who demonstrate clinical excellence and deliver the highest standards of patient care.

Each year, Richmond Magazine asks local physicians in Central Virginia to recommend their peers in 85 different categories. This year, 448 physicians were selected based on area of specialty.
Clavio Ascari, MD, serves as a Chief of Anesthesia for North American Partners in Anesthesia. Dr. Ascari is also the Medical Director of Operating Rooms at a community hospital and the Director at its affiliated ambulatory surgery center. Prior to joining NAPA, he held several leadership positions at Total Anesthesia/Anesthesia Associates of Richmond, including serving as Vice President and Chairman of the practice. Dr. Ascari is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the ASA and the Virginia Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Ascari received his Doctorate of Medicine at University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA, where he was awarded the Douglas J. Eastwood Award for Excellence in Anesthesiology. Dr. Ascari went on to fulfill his residency at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center and became the recipient of the Korbin Award for Excellence in Clinical Research.
