North American Partners in Anesthesia’s Charles Militana to be Featured Speaker
at 2013 Becker’s ASC Review 20th Annual Ambulatory Surgery Centers Conference
North American Partners in Anesthesia announced today that regional director, Charles Militana, M.D., will be a featured speaker at the 2013 Becker’s ASC Review 20th Annual Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) Conference to be held October 24 – 26, 2013 at the Swissotel in Chicago, Illinois. NAPA will also support the event as an exhibitor at booth #22.The conference will focus on improving profitability for the ASC community.
Dr. Militana will be presenting on the topic, “So you think your anesthesia services are ‘good’ but how do you really know? Evaluating the efficiency and quality of your anesthesia services.” Dr. Militana will discuss how to evaluate the efficiency and quality of your anesthesia group, whether an employed or contracted model. In addition, he will provide a checklist for auditing service levels and metrics to measure quality and gauge changes.
"Assuring high quality patient care should be the goal of every anesthesia department,” said Dr. Militana. “Assessing how well a department reaches that goal can only be measured by the collection of the appropriate data. It is only then a reasonable assessment can be made regarding the quality of care delivered and changes can be instituted to improve care."
