ProCare Pain Solutions’ Dr. Fred Davis Promoted to Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University

ProCare Pain Solutions, a NAPA company, is proud to announce its President and Cofounder, Fred Davis, MD was recently promoted to the rank of Clinical Associate Professor in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. His new appointment is an acknowledgement of his outstanding academic efforts, his accomplishments as a researcher and reputation as a mentor. Previously, Dr. Davis served as the Clinical Assistant Professor at the college.

“The University recognizes Dr. Davis’s role in developing new physicians goes far beyond teaching clinical skills,” said Aron Sousa, MD, Interim Dean of the College of Human Medicine. “Our students and residents look to Dr. Davis for mentorship and guidance in virtually all aspects of their professional growth. Dr. Davis’ support as they develop new interests and experience success, and his encouragement when they struggle for answers, plays a pivotal role in the development of humane, well-rounded physicians.”

In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Davis is a nationally recognized pain management specialist whose expertise encompasses a broad range of pain disorders. Dr. Davis received his medical degree from Rush University College of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his postgraduate internship in Arizona at Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program, followed by his residency in anesthesia at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Dr. Davis is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pain Management, American Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.

“Having the privilege of teaching and participating in clinical research has been a most rewarding part of my career,” said Dr. Davis. “It allows me to pay forward what I have learned and contribute to the legacy of pain medicine.”
