Dr. Hardy Lindroos New Regional Director of Exploration
Vancouver, March 1, 2007: Buck Morrow, the President of Northland Resources Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Hardy Lindroos as the Regional Director of Exploration for Northland Resources AB. Dr. Lindroos will have overall responsibility for managing Northland's advanced and early stage exploration programs for iron, copper and gold in northern Sweden and Finland.
Dr. Lindroos has been involved in minerals exploration activities in both Sweden and Finland for several decades, and will add a unique level of experience to Northland's exploration programs. Of direct relevance to Northland's current programs, he was:
1. the Geologist at the Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU), Kiruna office, in charge of a project to compile an inventory of iron ore bodies in northern Sweden financed by the SGU and LKAB.
2. Director of Department at SGU's Luleå office leading exploration programs for base metals and gold in Northern Sweden.
3. Chief Geologist and Vice Managing Director at the Exploration Division of the Swedish Geological Company (SGAB), Luleå, in charge of planning and management of exploration projects in Sweden.
Dr. Lindroos completed his PhD at the University of Stockholm, Institution of Geology specializing in ore geology. Between 1998 to 2003, he was in charge of the geology and drilling program at Riddarhyttan's Suurikuusikko Gold Project in Kittilä, Northern Finland, and oversaw the geological input to the bankable feasibility study for Suurikuusikko, including the drill and trial mining programs. Most recently, he has worked as a consulting geologist for International Gold Exploration (IGE), BHP Billiton Global Exploration, Nordic Diamonds Ltd, GeoVista AB and Agnico Eagle Mines.
