Northland Announces Board Changes

Luxembourg, October 26, 2010: Northland Resources S.A. (TSX: NAU, OSE: NAUR, Frankfurt: NBS - "Northland" or "the Company") announced today that Matti Kinnunen has been appointed to the Board of Directors.  Mr. Kinnunen joined Carnegie, a leading Scandinavian investment bank, in 1991 and subsequently held a number of senior positions in Carnegie's head office in Stockholm as well as in Finland, Norway, Denmark, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom and the United States. He was Deputy CEO of the Carnegie Group when he left in mid-2008.  Mr. Kinnunen also served as a board member of what is today Nasdaq OMX Nordic Ltd. from 1996 until 2009.  Mr. Kinnunen is presently involved in international mining projects.

He brings to Northland his vast financial expertise and years of experience in the Nordic business community, all of which will be very useful as Northland begins the execution of the Kaunisvaara iron ore project," said Anders Hvide, Northland's Chairman.  

Arden (Buck) Morrow has chosen to resign from the Board of Directors of Northland. Buck served as Chief Executive Officer of Northland from 2004 until the end of 2009. He developed the Company from a Canadian junior exploration company to where Northland is today, on the verge of constructing its first iron ore project in Sweden.
