Northland Hires Paul Marsden as VP Operations
Buck Morrow, the President of Northland Resources Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Marsden, BSc, CEng, CSci, IMMM to the position of Vice President Operations, effective from May 1st, 2007. Mr. Marsden will assume responsibility for the metallurgical engineering, mineral processing and pelletizing aspects of Northland's advanced iron projects in Sweden and Finland. He will also take a lead role in marketing Northland's products to the broader iron and steel industry.
Mr. Marsden has spent 29 years as a consultant to the international mining and iron and steel industries, including nearly 27 years with Corus Consulting (formerly British Steel Consultants Ltd), an arm of Corus Steel. He is a specialist with expertise in iron ore beneficiation, pelletizing, iron making and alternative iron making technology. He has worked on numerous green field iron ore / pelletizing / DRI / steelmaking feasibility study developments worldwide.
Mr. Marsden's most recent position with Corus Consulting was Project Director of a Global Iron Ore Marketing evaluation for Corus Consulting which included iron ore marketing and feasibility studies for Northland's Swedish and Finnish iron ore developments.
He is also an expert Market Analyst of the Iron Ore and the Steel industries, including experience in the marketing of metallurgical technologies to mining and steel companies. He has first-hand knowledge of all aspects of iron ore production in most parts of the world including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, India, Iran, Saudi Arabia, USA and Zimbabwe.
Mr. Marsden has a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Geological Sciences from Aston University, Birmingham, UK, is a Chartered Engineer (C Eng), a Chartered Scientist (CSci), and a Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IMMM or IOM3).
