Gejman, M.D., Director of the NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) Center for Psychiatric Genetics led an international consortium conducting a genome-wide association study (GWAS) on schizophrenia. The researchers found five novel genetic variants that increase the susceptibility to schizophrenia.
