design-comp-editorial-2Time is running out to join the revolutionary gaming initiative which will see one gamers’ vision put into production, and a new gaming concept launched to the gaming community.

Gioteck, the fastest growing console peripherals brand in Europe, is looking for someone with an idea for a peripheral never seen before, that will enhance gaming experiences and potentially change the way we play forever!

Registration for Design Challenge closes on 31stDecember and budding designers are then challenged to submit initial 2D concept designs early next year. The best 12 ideas will be taken forward to a live ‘Dragon’s Den’ style pitch where entrants will have the opportunity of a lifetime, presenting their ideas to a panel of leading industry experts and the chance to win the ultimate prize for any gaming enthusiast.

With a prize package worth up to £500,000, the winner will receive a 12 month paid apprenticeship with Gioteck’s development team, plus the opportunity to put their own gaming design concept into mass production, earning royalties from sales as well as a MacBook Pro and CAD software.

As an added bonus, the Gioteck Design Challenge winner will be flown out to Hong Kong then on to China on a fascinating trip to see the manufacturing process of Gioteck products at a major electronics factory.

The whole process will be filmed to create a mini-series for Future TV, currently code named ‘The Apprentices Den’, showcasing the designers and their ideas to the gaming community and beyond.
