Norwood Systems to demonstrate PDA synchronisation over Bluetoothtm and mobile phone connectivity at the Bluetooth Developers' Conference 11th - 13th December 2001 Booth 419 Bluetooth Developers' Conference, San Francisco, USA and Richmond-upon- Thames, UK - 11th December 2001 - Norwood Systems, developer of office networks for the wireless generation, is demonstrating EnterpriseMobilitytm, the company's wireless office solution. The demonstration will show how EnterpriseMobility now integrates both voice and data communication over a Bluetooth network. Norwood Systems will demonstrate EnterpriseMobility's data capabilities by showing PDA wireless synchronisation. This is the first time that this will have been shown at a public forum. Employees using EnterpriseMobility will now be able to synchronise their calendar, email, contacts and any other application used in Microsoft Outlook, between their PDA and their corporate server through a Bluetooth wireless connection. The demonstration also integrates the Ericsson R520 mobile phone with EnterpriseMobility. This is the first time that a GPRS phone with an embedded Bluetooth chip has been seen working with Norwood Systems' wireless office network solution. Norwood Systems' EnterpriseMobility is the first combined Bluetooth voice and data software suite available to enterprises to enable their employees to connect wirelessly to their corporate network. Employees using EnterpriseMobility are therefore much more mobile and contactable, can speak to colleagues, customers and business partners and access corporate resources without being tied to their desks. "These new developments to EnterpriseMobility are significant milestones as we progress towards commercial availability," comments Paul Østergaard, Chairman and CEO of Norwood Systems. "Being able to use mobile phones over Bluetooth or synchronise data wirelessly are key business drivers for using EnterpriseMobility. We look forward to demonstrating these product enhancements at the Bluetooth Developers' Conference."
