NOTE opens reliability lab in Kista in cooperation with Infineon Technologies

NOTE and Infineon Technologies are developing a reliability lab in Kista in a joint project. The lab, which was opened yesterday, will function as a test centre for products and components to be used in demanding environments, and as a centre for advanced fault tracing.

The lab will offer environment and vibration tests for prototypes and finished products alike. Environment tests are performed to check durability under conditions of heat, cold, stress and humidity. In the prototype stage, these stress tests can also be used as a means of finding the weakest point in the design. The lab will also function as a competence centre and be open for questions from product developers, for example. “This is an important service that we are adding to our offering. Our aim is to become a leading supplier within the region of this type of service. Many customers develop products that must function in difficult, demanding environments. Not least in the automotive industry. The cooperation with Infineon Technologies also gives us an established customer with whom we will also be able to share experiences," says Erik Stenfors, CEO for NOTE. “This is a cooperation that will benefit both companies. It will help us to focus on our core operations and after the project period we will also have a partner to whom we can outsource our environment testing,” says Johan Eriksson, Head of Operations at Infineon Technologies.
