NOTE that previous Friday took over BEVE Electronics in Boras, Sweden, presented in connection with the large fair for electronics in Gothenburg their strategy to improve the operations. The concentrated effort makes NOTE stronger, geographically, as well as in the trade.

BEVE Electronics performs advanced manufacturing of electronics on a high technical level. The company has a very high competence within the area of microwave technique. The recession within Telecom led to that the company’s Canadian owner, Mitec Telecom Inc, started a reconstruction of the company in March this year. Last Friday the business transaction to transfer the operations to NOTE, the entirely Swedish owned manufacturer of electronics, were concluded. ”We see three main reasons for this structural business transaction”, the chairman of the NOTE group, Sten Dybeck tells us at a press conference that were held at the large trade show at ”Component - Electronic production ” that takes place in Gothenburg. ” We like to put more efforts into the west part of Sweden. We established an operation here in Gothenburg for slightly more than a year ago, and find already a clear need for expansion. It is also important for us to broaden our competence within the growing business sector microwave technique that is growing among others for the security industry. For the third, we have developed a business concept to create profitability for Swedish manufacturing industries. We will apply this on the BEVE factory.” The operations will, until further notice, continue under the name NOTE Beve AB and be further developed under the model that NOTE has set up for Swedish factories under the name ”NOTE Excellence”. The factory will be developed in two directions: one operation for prototypes, ”NOTE Lab” that will be established to supply the west part of Sweden with first class prototypes. A new fourth ”Center of Excellence” with research close to the client will be built up with the help of the competence of Beve. The rest of the productive activities will be made more efficient to handle the other production that there is a demand for in the area. ”Our objectives are to create a profitable manufacturing, with the same target for returns as our three other units in Sweden. A factory needs an healthy profitability to grow in the long run ”, Sten Dybeck determined, that after the press conference continued on the theme with a seminar on the subject ”To create profitability within a company” For more information, please contact Sten Dybeck, Chairman of the board for the NOTE group, tel. +46 708 – 55 18 00
