China makes a large effort on mobile systems for the Olympics. This has resulted in that NOTE Norrtelje now has orders from Allgon worth SEK 30 million during 2001. The new order is especially for delivery of components to the CDMA-net intended for the Chinese market.

-This is a large order for us. It enable us to further increase the rapid growth we have had during the last years, says Mats Hultin, Managing Director for NOTE Norrtelje AB. The order is also very gratifying since it proves that the Swedish telecom industry are still growing substantially. NOTE has a long-term relation in the co-operation with Allgon, among other things with the manufacturing of components for the GSM-networks. The new order expands that co-operation even further. One of the reasons NOTE received this order is that the company as of now is a part of the worldwide network ems-ALLIANCE, initiated by NOTE. In the network there are companies with the same alignment and size as NOTE from seven countries, China among others. This means that we can move the manufacturing closer to the customer or the customers market in four parts of the world, says Mats Hultin. An important strength in competition with international companies. NOTE Norrtelje is a part of the NOTE group of companies. The operating income of the group increased during the first half year this year with 152% to SEK 12.2 million. The net turnover increased during the same period the same period with 70% to SEK 252.6 million. For further information, please contact: Mats Hultin, Managing Director, NOTE Norrtelje AB.
