This autumn, NOTE, one of Scandinavia’s leading contract manufacturer, has established operations in the United Kingdom and France. In a further move to strengthen its European expansion, the company has appointed Mats Hultin, the former managing director of NOTE Norrtelje, to build a global sales and marketing function.

Note’s objective is to become one of Europe’s top ten suppliers of electronics manufacturing services (EMS) by 2009, notably by establishing a presence on a number of key European markets. As part of the strategy, the company established “Gateways” in London and Strasbourg in October and November of this year. As part of NOTE’s European expansion, Mats Hultin, the current managing director of NOTE Norrtelje, will build a Group-level sales and marketing function with strategic responsibility for establishing NOTE on new markets. “To achieve our objective and take account of our new operations in the UK and France, we need to reorganise and strengthen our organisation”, Erik Stenfors, NOTE’s CEO, comments. “Mats Hultin was responsible for building up NOTE Norrtelje and will now be given new expansion-related tasks at a Group level”. “I look forward to the challenge of working on developing the Group’s sales and marketing activities during the expansion phase that has now been initiated”, Mats Hultin says. “I hope that my experience as a leader and entrepreneur will be of use to the Group. Patrik Kvarnlöf has been appointed new managing director of NOTE Norrtelje. Patrik Kvarnlöf has been working at NOTE Norrtelje since 1993, notably as a deputy managing director, and is currently a member of Group Management at NOTE AB.
