Coffey Named Logo NewNowNext Award Winner and National Book Tour Culminates

For Immediate Release

Los Angeles, CA / April 12, 2011 – Reality TV’s “it-girl,” Tabatha Coffey, continues her pop culture reign with recent successes including a successful national book tour for best-selling memoir “It’s Not Really About the Hair,” an accolade from Logo’s NewNowNext Awards and Season 4 pickup of her Bravo series “Tabatha Takes Over.”

Last week was a busy one for Coffey who made her last official book tour stop at Barnes & Noble bookstore at The Grove in Los Angeles. Coffey spoke to a packed house and took a Q&A from the audience before signing hundreds of copies.  “It’s Not Really About the Hair” is currently in its third printing and has consistently sold out at most book tour venues. The three-month tour brought Coffey through cities like Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Austin, Atlanta, New York City, Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis, Boston and Columbus.

As previously announced by Bravo, “Tabatha Takes Over” has been picked up as a new format in its fourth season. Produced by Reveille with Howard T. Owens as Executive Producer, Coffey, the tressed-to-kill queen of salon transformations, hits the road again – but this time she’s taking over more than just salons. “Tabatha Takes Over” follows the demanding perfectionist as she takes over various small businesses and family enterprises and whips them into shape.

Finally, Coffey was honored during Logo’s fourth annual “NewNowNext Awards” which aired last night on Logo. She took home the trophy for fan-voted “Most Addictive Reality Star” beating out fellow-nominees Tyler & Catelynn from MTV’s Teen Mom, Carmen Carrera from RuPaul’s Drag Race and Josh Kilmer-Purcell & Brent Ridge from The Fabulous Beekman Boys.

Hosted by James Van Der Beek, the show featured presenters including Adam Lambert, Paula Abdul, Carmen Electra, Joey McIntyre (New Kids on the Block), A.J. McLean (Backstreet Boys), Brittany Snow ("Harry's Law"), Busy Phillips ("Cougar Town") and Perez Hilton. Tabatha Coffey has devoted her entire professional life to achieving excellence in hair design and education. For three successful seasons, she has brought her years of hands-on experience to Bravo’s hit series, "Tabatha's Salon Takeover.”  With her signature edgy style, youthful energy and exceptional skills as an artist and educator, Tabatha Coffey is without question the industry's golden girl.

From the beginning of her career when she was 14 in her native Surfer's Paradise, Australia, to time spent learning from Vidal Sasson in London, to her appearance as the "Fan Favorite" on Bravo's hit series, "Shear Genius" in 2007, Coffey has been completely devoted to the art of hair. Over the last 27 years, Coffey has worked with a veritable who's who of the industry in Australia, UK and the United States and has continuously developed, fine-tuned and broadened her skills as an artist, educator and business owner.
