NRC Group ASA - Appointed to a light rail alliance contract in Finland

Turun Raitiotie Oy has selected NRC Group Finland, a company wholly owned by NRC Group ASA, and GRK Suomi Oy as the construction parties in the new Turku Alliance, as well as the design firms Ramboll Finland Oy and Sweco Finland Oy.

The development phase will start in April 2024. After the development phase, the project aims to enter the construction phase. The goal is to have the plan approved for the construction phase by the council of Turku during the autumn of 2025. The current target cost estimate for the alliance contract is approximately EUR 344 million.

The construction of the tramway will take place between 2026 and 2031. The construction schedule will become more precise during the development phase of the alliance.
