$2.69M Pirate Harbor Home is the Most Expensive in its ZIP Code

PUNTA GORDA, FL (July 27, 2016) – A new construction home in Pirate Harbor, located at 24129 Jolly Roger Boulevard has just hit the market for $2,699,900 and is the highest priced residence currently on the market and the only one over $2 million in the 33955 ZIP code1. Todd and Tamra Murray of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s Punta Gorda office and Darren Dowling with the Sarasota Downtown office have co-listed the waterfront luxury property.

“Luxury buyers will get a much better value for their money in Punta Gorda compared to Sarasota, where this same house could easily be listed for double,” said Dowling. “The luxury market is very crowded in Sarasota, which could be part of the reason for the high prices.”

The luxury housing market is still small in Punta Gorda, with only 25 total luxury properties available for sale in June2, compared to the city of Sarasota, where there are 417 properties with a much higher average list price of $2,485,9392.  To further compare the value in luxury properties, this waterfront four-bedroom and three-bathroom residence is estimated to cost upwards of $5 million if it were located in Sarasota, according to co-listing agent Dowling who also sells properties in Sarasota.
