Local Realtor Has Ties to US Open

SARASOTA, FL (May 23, 2017) – Steve Slocum, an affiliated sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate’s East Manatee office, took a brief pause to caddy for Seath Lauer in the recent local US Open qualifying event.

The qualifier was held at TPC Prestancia in Sarasota where Lauer finished as a first alternative. Slocum, a golf enthusiast, was on hand to witness Lauer’s par save.

“Golf has always been a thrill for me, but being right there for Seath’s playoff was amazing,” said Slocum.

As a sales associate, Slocum specializes in golf course properties, where he has lived for nearly 20 years. He has played in the US Amateur at Baltusrol Country Club and won two Manatee County Amateurs, experiences he channels when mentoring other players.
