New NAG Compiler released with support for OpenMP 3.1 and Fortran 2008, 2003 and 95
SC14 booth 1338, release immediate
November 11, 2014, The Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) Ltd - provider of numerical and HPC expertise and numerical software, will launch the latest version of their world renowned Fortran Compiler at SC14.
The new NAG Compiler (release 6.0) accurately follows Fortran and OpenMP programming language standards. Whether it is used to develop new software or to verify and check code, the end result is software that is more portable. Because the code is correct; applications that are developed with and checked by the NAG Compiler are ready to be run on a wider range of current and future computer processors. The NAG Compiler now incorporates support for Fortran 2008, Fortran 2003 and Fortran 95, as well as the OpenMP 3.1 and 3.0. With this Compiler, through the use of OpenMP directives, programmers can write faster and more-efficient code.
Further enhancements at release 6.0 help to assist programmers in finding coding bugs and to help improve program efficiency the NAG Compiler warns of both compile-time and run-time errors. The NAG Compiler also provides a dependency generator for module and include files, a Fortran pretty printer ("polisher"), a call-graph generator and an interface builder.
“We are proud to announce the new facilities of the Compiler”, said Malcom Cohen, Project Editor of the Fortran 2003 and 2008 ISO/IEC standards and head of the NAG Compiler project. “This tool is designed to make a programmer’s life easier while still helping him or her to write code that is more correct and efficient.”
The NAG Compiler is available for Windows (with GUI), Linux and Apple Mac platforms. Please contact NAG for worldwide availability, price information and trials. www.nag.com
