Nurminen Logistics expands the range of services of the Forwarding business line to support the company’s international growth

The service portfolio of Nurminen Logistics’ Forwarding business line will be expanded to match the continuous growth in the volumes of railway traffic between Asia and Europe and the increasing demand for multimodal transport, especially in the Nordic and European markets.
Nurminen Logistics has experience as the forwarder of customs and transport documents of different freight transport forms, offices at border crossing points important to the traffic flows and strong expertise in project logistics and multimodal transport. These factors support the development of the Nordic HUB service package pursuant to Nurminen Logistics’ confirmed strategy for 2022–2023 and facilitate the building of comprehensive Rail-Sea-Road transport connections across the Far East, Russia, CIS countries and throughout Europe.
The range of services of Nurminen Logistics’ Forwarding business line will be expanded to cover international traffic service packages. This includes the development and provision of transport and documentation solutions, project coordination and customer service and, together with the Terminal and Railway business lines, the operation of the transport of demanding Door-to-Door, LCL, FCL and project cargo. The Forwarding business line also takes care of comprehensive logistics outsourcing services.
The expansion and internationalisation of Nurminen Logistics’ service portfolio will significantly strengthen the company’s position and role as an operator of railway traffic between Northern Europe and Asia.
Starting from 8 November 2011, Marjut Linnajärvi, VP Sales, will head the Forwarding and Outsourcing business line until further notice.
