Nurminen Logistics will carry the m/s Silver Sky, the new restaurant boat built for Finnish Silverline in Turkey, as a special transport from the Mäntyluoto harbour in Pori to Nokia on 2-5 August. The dimensions of the boat are challenging – 30 metres long and 7 metres wide – and it will be transported at night. The height of the special transport is 8.3 metres and it weighs 250 tonnes. Special arrangements on the route from Mäntyluoto to Nokia are extensive: transport will require, for instance, the cutting off of electricity in 70 places, the taking down of telephone lines and the detachment of electric lines from pylons along the way – all this so that one of the largest and most challenging road transports ever to take place in Finland will reach its destination.
