NYFORS introduces the MINICLEAVER

NYFORS TEKNOLOGI AB (publ) introduces its new portable optical fiber cleaver – the MINICLEAVERTM. The battery-operated cleaver is perfect for field splicing or in environments with limited space. It is compatible with most common factory and field splicers and produces cleave angles typically below 0.5 degrees.

The small and light weight MINICLEAVERTM uses our proven tension and scribe cleaving process and can be set up easily to accommodate fiber holders from the leading splicer manufacturers. Exchangeable force cartridges can be configured for a certain fiber and easily exchanged if a different fiber diameter needs to be cleaved. This makes the product extremely flexible while remaining compact and easy to use.

Fiber scraps are conveniently discarded using the uniquely designed right hand side fiber clamp, ensuring no fiber waste parts have to be touched by hand. It can also be interchanged easily when the cleaver is set up for a different fiber dimension.
