Nynas announces new supply point for bitumen

Nynas Harburg refinery, in Hamburg, will become available as a new supply point for Nynas bitumen customers in Western Europe.  The intention is to be fully operational by the middle of 2016.

“This new facility will significantly support our commitment to continue to offer a reliable supply service for our existing and new bitumen customers”, says Mario Jentzsch, Sales Manager Nynas Western Europe.

The recent investment made by Nynas Group in the Harburg refinery, driven by the growth of the company’s’ naphthenic specialty oils business, that has provided the opportunity for the development of the site as a strategic supply point for bitumen.

The aim is to provide a wide range of penetration bitumen. An inline blending system will also enable Nynas to produce a comprehensive portfolio of Regular, Extra, and Premium products from within the Nynas Performance Programme.

Managed together with the options within the existing supply network Nynas will continue to have the flexibility to offer a wide range of more specialised products for example PMB and WAX modified bitumen from other production sites in Germany.
