The 6 month journey for the 4 women is coming to end in front of a live studio audience August 13th at 7am (ET/PT) on Lifetime

Pompano Beach, Fla. (August 8, 2012) The four women of  A Lifetime of Health & Wellness Makeover series have spent the past 25 weeks learning how to live a life of health and wellness with the help of their trainers, their coaches and each other.  It’s been a long journey of ups and downs for these women and on August 13th, 2012 at 7am (ET/PT) the results of their time and efforts will be revealed in front of a live studio audience.

A Lifetime of Health & Wellness Makeover a makeover series unlike any other on television is brought to you by The Balancing Act, America’s premier morning show for women, airing daily at 7am (ET/PT) on Lifetime television.   This makeover show is unique in its approach by not focusing solely on pounds lost.  Instead it focuses on helping these women change all aspects of their lives in order to become healthier and live balanced lives by giving them the tools to continue down the path they so bravely stepped upon when they agreed to share their personal  journey, the good, the bad and even the breakdowns, with America.  “We took four women who knew nothing about reality television, asked them to trust us and let us help them change their lives,” says Denise Carroll, Supervising Producer of the series.

While weight loss was a real goal for the singer, the teacher, the menopause babe and the bride, the most important thing for the contestants was having the opportunity to make drastic changes in their lives.  “I felt the show was my last chance because nothing I did on my own was working”, Rosa Gordon shares. “I’m starting menopause; I was on pre-diabetic medication, had high blood pressure and was in pain every day.”

Antonia Woods, backup singer for English pop star Joss Stone, says “It was hard for sure, but nothing worth doing is ever really easy. What I have learned the most is that I had to change my life, and I have.”

“Now that the cameras are gone, I am somewhat relieved, but every level of my being has skyrocketed – my stamina, my endurance, everything, the next part of my journey is just beginning!” says contestant Melissa Jablonski with obvious excitement at her results.

The finale will chronicle the highlights and low points of each woman’s personal journey ending with the reveal of the changes they have accomplished ending with the announcement of the winner of the grand prize for the series, a trip to beautiful Cancun Mexico courtesy of 5-star all inclusive resort group Iberostar.

“This has been an incredible and soul- searching journey for each of these women, they’ve put in the effort, the sweat and the tears.  They’ve faced their fears, discovered their resolve and accomplished their goals of becoming more healthy, fit and energetic.  They carry themselves now with a greater sense of confidence and purpose.” Says Dr. Tom Deters the Managing Director of the Health and Wellness series, airing Mondays 7AM (ET/PT) on Lifetime television.

The finale of the show airs Monday August 13th, 7am (ET/PT) on Lifetime television.  Tune in to witness the incredible transformation these 4 women from South Florida have gone through, with the help of The Balancing Act.
