Obducat secures a Sindre® 400 NIL-system order to be used in mass production of LEDs
OBDUCAT, leading manufacturer of lithography solutions based on nanoimprint lithography (NIL), has signed a contract concerning supply of a Sindre® 400 NIL system to be used in mass production of µPSS LEDs. The expected revenue value from the contract, which includes the NIL system, consumables as well as service and support during the next two years, is estimated to total 22 MSEK (EUR 2.5 million).
The contract includes agreement regarding supply of a Sindre® 400 NIL-system, capable of imprinting substrate sizes of up to 4-inch, guarantee of supply of consumables - based on Obducat’s patented IPS® and STU® technology – that are used in the manufacturing process and supply of service and support, which includes regular maintenance visits as well as short response time for service issues.
Delivery of the Sindre® 400 NIL-system is scheduled to take place in Q3 2014, at which time Obducat will expand its local organization in Asia with service and support function in addition to the already existing local sales organization.
The name of the customer, located in Asia, will remain undisclosed for the time being.
