Spanish SafeLand USA Class, Feb. 21
Enroll now for the Spanish SafeLand USA safety awareness class at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), Thursday, Feb. 21. This class will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the OCCC Main Campus located at 7777 S. May Ave. in Oklahoma City. The goal is to provide Spanish-speaking oil and gas industry professionals with specific safety awareness.
About SafeLand USA
SafeLand USA is a volunteer organization used to monitor and improve orientation standards for the U.S. Land contractor community. The program provides professionals within the oil and gas industry information about the safety hazards associated with the business.
Course Topics
Safeland USA Awareness course topics include: Incident Reporting and Investigation, Accident Prevention, Hand Safety, Walking Working Surfaces, Job Safety Analysis, Material Handling, First-Aid/CPR/AED; and Hazard Communications.
Course Benefits:
The course orientation is designed specifically for the oil and gas industry and is consistent with EH&S, (Environmental Health and Safety), recognized by multiple organizations. The course information will help to increase employee competency, reducing employer liability cost.
Cost to attend is $150 per participant, and includes all instructional material, testing material and certification card. Each course will be facilitated by a certified instructor. The program is certified by SafeLand USA and the Energy Training Council (ETC) of Oklahoma, of which OCCC is an authorized member.
The organization is comprised of major and independent operating companies, industry associates and educators.
