Jo Christian Oterhals takes the seat as Chairman of Ocean Hub

Ocean Hub solves this problem for the Ocean Industries by providing a single platform that makes it efficient to both consume, distribute and interact with relevant content.
“The media industry craves and needs innovation. I’m convinced that ‘outsiders’ will drive such innovation. Ocean Hub is one of those outsiders that is willing to turn established ideas upside down and change everything from business models to how companies and their audiences interact,” says Jo Christian Oterhals, the new Chairman of Ocean Hub.
The company has been operational online for the last three years. Ocean Hub is now in the final stages of entering a far more visible and scalable phase, both towards customers and partners as well as the general audience.
“I’m excited to take the Chairman position of Ocean Hub, and look forward to talk to established players within the media and ocean industries on how we can work together to enhance their existing offerings,“ Oterhals says.
New releases are just around the corner enabling users to even more efficiently connect and interact. Key features will include end user posts on the front page, simpler and more powerful filter options, and gamification elements.

Who is Jo Christian Oterhals?
Jo Christian Oterhals is 44 years old and has extensive experience as a manager of digital media companies, mainly from various management positions in Schibsted and VG.no (Verdens Gang). Schibsted is a significant global media player and Norways largest media group. He has had a central role in the digitalization and monetization of VG Online, trough positions as CTO, CEO and editor of VG's digital offerings. Oterhals was also a part of the Schibsted Norway management group for several years, and has been board member and chairman of companies within industries as varied as online dating through ad networks to financial news.
