Sought after tickets to Destination Nowhere

The Raft, The Field, The Glade and The Grove are some of the tables scattered in nature at restaurant Nowhere that opened 20th August. The project initiated by the the alcohol-free winehouse Oddbird got extensive global attention and guests from all over the world tried to make a reservation at the limited seats.

This weekend Oddbird opened a socially distanced restaurant in the middle of nowhere, in a nature reserve south of Stockholm. The restaurant consisted of six unique tables scattered in beautiful spots in almost complete isolation. When the seats were released in June, the tables were fully booked in 60 seconds. But requests to experience Nowhere kept flowing in from all over the world, after media in over 30 countries featured the experience.

"We were blown away by the vast interest around Nowhere. It confirms that the longing to get closer to nature is a global phenomenon. The pandemic brought a shift of mind, where our continuous consumption was brought to a halt and we rediscovered the simple things in the nature around us", says Moa Gürbüzer, founder of Oddbird.

The menu at Nowhere was created by the chefs Linn Söderström and Marion Ringborg of Restaurant Garba and consisted of local organic produce, served with Oddbird wines liberated from alcohol. The tables were individually designed and decorated exclusively with vintage items by interior design duo The Norrmans.

The energy around Nowhere has compelled Oddbird to recreate the experience. They look forward to announce the next Nowhere within the near future.

Oddbird was founded in 2013 in Gothenburg, Sweden by Moa Gürbüzer. Moa has worked for over 2 decades as a social worker and family therapist specializing in alcohol related family issues. She founded Oddbird to change the alcohol norms of society. She wanted the question “Do you want your wine with or without alcohol?” to be as common as “Do you want your coffee with or without milk?”. 

Oddbird has since its inception focused on creating world class, traditionally crafted wines from the finest vineyards in France and Italy.
