OEM International acquires Svenska Batteripoolen

OEM International has today acquired Svenska Batteripoolen i Borlänge AB. Svenska Batteripoolen markets batteries in Sweden and has an annual turnover of approximately 17 MSEK. The acquisition means that OEM strengthens the position within batteries in the Swedish market.

-      We are satisfied over the acquisition of a well-managed company that will strengthen our market position as well as our offer within batteries. There is a great potential in continuing to develop the company and further improve the competitiveness through product range development, says Jörgen Zahlin, Managing Director and CEO for OEM International.

The purchase sum amounts to MSEK 4 plus an additional purchase sum based on how the business develops during 2012 and 2013. The acquisition is expected to have a small positive impact on OEM’s profit for the current year.
