OKI Data Americas Receives Two Winter “Pick” Awards for Outstanding A4 Monochrome Single Function and Multifunction Printers for Large Workgroups
Buyers Laboratory Inc. calls the B731dn and MB770 Series affordable, reliable and robust
Mount Laurel, NJ (February 25, 2014) — OKI Data Americas announces receipt of two prestigious Winter “Pick” awards in the monochrome printer and multifunction printer (MFP) categories for large workgroups from Buyers Laboratory Inc.™ (BLI) for its B731dn and MB770 Series, respectively. Both devices underwent rigorous laboratory testing at BLI and were praised for their image quality plus numerous individual strengths, including: strong performance, robust feature sets, productivity, reliability, affordable price points and lower than average total cost of ownership (TCO) as compared to competitive models, making them ideal choices for demanding large workgroups.
Of particular note, the B731dn demonstrated perfect reliability during the course of testing, delivering 140,000 impressions without fault. BLI also applauded a key feature of the MB770 Series – OKI’s smart Extendable Platform – as “a critical value enhancer that allows organizations to run productivity-boosting and money-saving software developed by the manufacturer or third parties.”

BLI noted that the very robust scan preview feature on the MB770 allows users to easily view and zoom in on every page of the document via thumbnails, delete pages or cancel the job, or insert or replace pages in which case settings can be changed for the new pages.
With regard to its feature set, BLI suggested that the MB770 MFP Series has plenty to offer, including: a high standard RAM capacity and the standard 160 GB hard drive aid in job processing (multitasking was very good overall); an above average maximum input capacity; a standard convenience stapler, which can staple up to 20 sheets; and eco measures – standard automatic duplexing and toner-save mode – that reduce waste and lower cost of ownership.
