OKI Data Americas to Debut Narrow Format Digital Label Printing and Finishing System, Preview New Color Label Printer at Labelexpo Americas 2014

Mount Laurel, NJ (August 20, 2014) – OKI Data Americas announces its participation in the upcoming Labelexpo Americas 2014 tradeshow and conference taking place September 9-11 in Rosemont, IL at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. There in booth 1245, OKI Data will introduce the new C711DW – a high-quality digital color label printer with finishing system that is ideal for short-run commercial applications. In addition, OKI Data will preview a new color label printer slated for introduction in 2015, and demonstrate select digital color printers designed for use within the label and package printing industry.
The following will be demonstrated within booth 1245:
- The C711DW Digital Web Press is the latest addition to an expanding line of digital label printers from OKI Data Americas. Together with the HS711DLF, these devices create full color finished labels on-demand and with ease, incorporating digital die cutting and film lamination to deliver a complete, cost-effective, digital label printing production system. The C711DW utilizes OKI label management software from HYBRID Software as a front-end solution. It prints at up to 25 feet per minute in continuous feed mode[1], and handles a variety of media including paper, polyester, vinyl and adhesive-backed substrates at widths of 6.5 to 8.5 inches and a maximum outside roll diameter of 14 inches on a three inch core to meet a wide array of label printing needs. The complete, short-run label printing system is offered at a fraction of the cost of other digital presses.
- OKI pro511DW Digital Web Press – With dazzling color, digital precision and the capacity to produce thousands of production-quality full color labels per day, the OKI pro511DW digital web press offers enhanced features and functionality including a Proactive server, Harlequin™ raster image processor (RIP), and HYBRID front-end software, plus a heavy duty rewinder with a pre-assembled slitter. It delivers fast, customized continuous web printing with exceptional color quality, plus easy operation in both continuous and cut sheet modes, and produces HD color printing for breathtaking output – even on ordinary paper. The pro511DW also supports variable data printing for optimum productivity.
- OKI pro900DP Digital Envelope Press – The OKI pro900DP digital envelope press produces brilliant, consistent production color and customized output. Its HD color printing capabilities make for a breathtaking output – even on ordinary paper. The pro900DP features embedded an EFI® Fiery® System 8e Controller with SmartRIP® technology for fast, automated color workflow and job management, plus color consistency and accuracy.
- The Kompac EZ Koat is a valuable post-production supplement to the OKI pro511DW, providing UV coating for rub-, fade-, water- and scratch-resistant materials. The Kompac EZ Koat is a small footprint, UV & Aqueous coater capable of coating sheets 14.5 inches in width and virtually any length. Its ease of operation, variable print speeds and coating intensity, and digital control panel make it a desirable addition to the OKI pro511DW digital web press.
