Olvi completes the acquisition of Banjalucka Pivara

The Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina has approved the acquisition in which Olvi plc purchases all shares and votes in Banjalucka Pivara. The transaction was completed and the documents for registering the change of ownership were submitted to the local court today.  

On 15 September 2025, Olvi announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Bosnia and Herzegovina’s largest brewery Banjalucka Pivara. The company is known for its strong brands and solid market position, with a strong and rapidly growing presence in Serbia as well. Banjalucka Pivara d.o.o was founded in 1873 and employs around 240 people.  

The parties received the clearance from the local authorities and finalized all closing practicalities. The documents for registering the change of ownership were submitted to the local court today, 5 January 2026. The transaction took legally and accounting wise effect as of 2 January 2026.
