Olvi has completed the acquisition, under which its Estonian subsidiary A. Le Coq acquires 100% of the shares in Värska Originaal AS, Estonia’s best-known natural mineral water producer. The closing of the transaction took place on 19 June 2026 and is accounting-wise effective as of 19 June 2026.
On 15 September 2025, Olvi announced that it would acquire Värska Originaal through its Estonian subsidiary A. Le Coq. Värska Originaal AS was founded in 1993, and its operational roots date back to 1973. The company produces its products in Värska, in southeastern Estonia. In addition to natural mineral water, its product range includes flavoured and functional waters. The company employs approximately 70 people, and its production volume in 2025 was 44 million litres.
The Competition Authority announced in mid-April that it had cleared the transaction. Completion was, however, temporarily suspended due to interim legal protection applied by a third party. Following the proceedings, the Tallinn Administrative Court and District Court resolved that there were no grounds to continue the interim legal protection, which allowed the transaction to be completed.
