Olof Stenhammar inducted into the FIA Hall of Fame

In connection with the 50th anniversary of the Futures Industry Association (FIA) at the International Futures Industry Conference in Boca Raton, Florida, FIA has instituted a Futures Hall of Fame to celebrate accomplishments and recognize the significant contributions individuals have made to the futures and options industry. Olof Stenhammar, founder and Chairman of the Board of OMX, was one of the first individuals to be inducted into the FIA Futures Hall of Fame at an inaugural induction ceremony yesterday. Other inductees include Alan Greenspan, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and Leo Melamed, Chairman Emeritus at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. “I am really honored and proud that the FIA has chosen me for their Hall of Fame. This honor confirms that Sweden and the Nordic region have been early adopters in the area of derivatives and have had a significant impact on the global securities markets infrastructure.
