Spend the whole day enjoying arts & crafts, live music, inspirational displays, a stunning show garden, delicious food and drink, rural craft demonstrations, plus workshops and venture playground for the children.

With up to 250 British crafts people, you’ll find hundreds of handmade crafts perfect for the home and garden, with many artists from the local area:

Dig up some gardening tips at the beautiful Show Garden designed by Chilstone & How Green Nursery (Tunbridge Wells). The garden will be bursting with unusual plants, vibrant colours, stunning accessories and sculptures. Relax and enjoy a family picnic with the stunning garden and 'Kew Fountain' as your backdrop.

Charlotte Rice from Maidstone will exhibit her stunning bespoke silverware and jewellery collection.  Charlotte established her company, CAR Designs in 2000 after graduating from Kent Institute of Art and Design and now specialises in creating everyday wear and unique pieces for special occasions.  Alongside her spectacular jewellery, Charlotte offers an exciting range of silverware including bookmarks, spoons, ornaments and even a noughts and crosses board game!

If you want to give an old piece of furniture a new lease of life, Steve Hanson from Ulcombe, Maidstone is a traditionally trained upholsterer and antique restorer.  Using only the finest fabrics and craftsmanship you can bring your favourite chair or table into the 21st century or even commission one of Steve’s bespoke contemporary designs. Steve is renowned for his passion and purist approach to his work, favouring only natural materials such as Hessian, horse hair and calico.

Stella Sebastos from Orpington will show her truly exquisite jewellery from the family-run jewellery business, Zonis.  This mother and daughter team have been producing high quality, hand made, contemporary jewellery and wedding tiaras for 10 years.   Mother, Olga, uses her knowledge and skills acquired from her craft background in Greece, as well as her love of knitting, crochet, cross stitch and appliqué to create something completely exclusive.  Each piece offers a truly bespoke and innovative design, handcrafted from enamelled copper wires that are twisted together and embellished with beads and gemstones.

Steve Clarke from Deal will demonstrate the traditional technique of Pole Lathe turning, an ancient method of wood turning with a resurgence in popularity as an environmentally friendly and fun way to be creative.  Specialising in chair making, Steve uses traditional tools and methods to create truly beautiful creations.  Made out of locally grown ash, most of his chairs are made using the ‘Turners’ style dating back to medieval times.  Steve will also demonstrate how to make smaller items including babies’ rattles and kitchen utensils – the perfect ‘one of a kind’ present!
