Composition of OP Cooperative's Board of Directors in 2026
On 4 December 2025, the Supervisory Council of OP Cooperative (the central cooperative of OP Pohjola) elected the members of the Board of Directors of OP Cooperative for the term of office from 1 January to 31 December 2026.
Outi Henriksson, M.Sc. (Econ. & Bus. Adm.) (b. 1969), and Markku Sotarauta, D.Adm.Sc. (b. 1963), were elected as new members of the Board of Directors of OP Cooperative.
Outi Henriksson has served as Chief Financial Officer in several sectors during her career, most recently at Aktia Bank from 2017 to 2024. Her executive team responsibilities have covered a wide range of Group functions beyond Finance and Treasury. Henriksson has been a board professional since 2025. Her current duties include, among others, serving as Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and member of the Board of Directors at Patria and Etteplan.
Markku Sotarauta has been working as Professor of Regional Development Studies at Tampere University since 1998. His duties at the university have also included serving as Dean of the School of Management, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration and Head of the Department of Social Sciences. Sotarauta has wide experience based on several positions of trust at OP Pohjola. He has been member of the OP Cooperative Supervisory Council, Chair of the Board of Directors at Pirkanmaan Osuuspankki and also at Tampereen Seudun Osuuspankki, as well as member of the Board of OP Research Foundation.

Board members Jarna Heinonen and Pekka Loikkanen will step down from the Board of Directors after the end of the year 2025. The other current Board members will continue on the Board in 2026: Matti Kiuru (Managing Director, Länsi-Suomen Osuuspankki), Katja Kuosa-Kaartti (Authorised Public Accountant, Authorised Sustainability Auditor, Tilintarkastus Kuosa-Kaartti Oy), Kati Levoranta (EVP, Legal, General Counsel, Fortum Oyj), Tero Ojanperä (entrepreneur, board professional), Jaakko Pehkonen (rahoitusneuvos (Finnish honorary title); Professor of Economics, University of Jyväskylä), Sari Pohjonen (board professional), Jaana Reimasto-Heiskanen (kauppaneuvos (Finnish honorary title); Managing Director, Pohjois-Karjalan Osuuspankki) and Petri Sahlström (Professor of Accounting and Finance, University of Oulu). Additionally, in accordance with OP Cooperative's bylaws, Timo Ritakallio (vuorineuvos (Finnish honorary title); President and Group CEO, OP Pohjola) will serve as a Board member during his term of office.
Each calendar year, the Board elects (from among its members) a Chair of the Board of Directors, a Vice Chair and committee members.
